Exodus 17:11-13
So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands were heavy.

Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other.

Thus his hands were steady until the sun set.

The Leadership Summit, August 7-9, 2008
Sponsored by Willow Creek Association, we have found this to be a powerful conference for leaders. The strength of this conference is the wide variety of leaders who bring with them a wealth of knowledge in leadership. With over one hundred satelite locations this is a very excessible conference for most pastors. We attended the conference at a satelite location and we quickly forgot we were not on site at Willow Creek, clapping and responding to speaker's questions as if they were with us in person. What impressed us the most was Bill Hybel's heart for pastors and his passion for strengthening and encouraging pastors out in the trenches.

Healthy Transitions: A Wellness Retreat For Ministers and Spouses, Various Dates
Sponsored by Ministering to Ministers Foundation, Inc., this is well designed retreat with qualified experts who have a heart for helping "wounded" ministers. The foundation seeks to be advocates for clergy and their families in all faith groups who are experiencing personal or professional crisis due to deteriorating employment or congregation-clergy relationships. Formed by a group of ministers who had experienced involuntary separation from their congregation, the foundation ministers understand the difficult road the conference participants are traveling. One of our ministry team members and his spouse participated in this retreat and said it was extremely helpful in their recovery process. (Scholarships are available through the foundation.)
